President and General Manager of Cutting Edge Entertainment, Ron Peene, attended The Bridal Extravaganza in San Antonio earlier this month. His feedback on this year’s show mirrors what he said about the show last year: “It’s a great show for brides to be able to do all their homework and research a bunch of vendors in one location.”

In talking to various brides, Ron found many of them with similar questions or concerns; most centered on distinguishing factors. In other words, what distinguishes Cutting Edge Entertainment disc jockeys from other disc jockeys at the show, and how do I decide which to choose?

The flip side of being able to meet multiple vendors in one location is that the amount of information brides receive on the exhibit floor can be overwhelming. Booth workers at The Bridal Extravaganza were able to have lengthy conversations with brides, delineating the finer points of Cutting Edge Entertainment. If you weren’t able to attend the show, you can learn more about those distinguishing factors by watching this three-minute video that gives you an overview of our services.

The Bridal Extravaganza came at the end of the busy holiday season and the beginning of a new year. We asked Ron what’s new for Cutting Edge in 2015.

New Branding

In an industry that’s constantly changing and evolving, it’s important to live up to our name. Ron spent a big part of last year working to revamp the Cutting Edge Entertainment brand. At the start of 2015, we have a new logo and a new website. The primary goal of this rebranding was to show that, yes, we’re a disc jockey service, but more than that, we’re an entertainment company that offers other services as well.

Photo Booth

The latter part of last year the company began offering photo booth services. It wasn’t something they marketed, but something that was available to customers who asked. This year, expect to hear more about the benefits of having a photo booth at your event.

Top-notch Customer Service

If 2014 were to be summarized as the year of rebranding, Ron said 2015 will be a year of even better service. Ron prides himself on providing impeccable service to customers. To illustrate:

Ron will occasionally stop by an event to check on his staff. He’ll stand off at a distance just to observe for a while before letting the DJ know he’s there. Then he finds the host/hostess of the event (often a bride) and asks how things are going. For a bride to say, “Everything’s okay” is no longer satisfactory to Ron. He wants more enthusiastic responses like the one he received from one bride: She threw her arms in the air and said, “Matt is fantastic! He’s the only reason I’m sane right now.”

Expect the professional service you’ve always received from Cutting Edge Entertainment to be taken up a notch.

(Possibly) Coming Soon…

With a desire to be a full-service entertainment provider, Ron is looking at the possibility of adding DJ trivia to the list of services. When bars or restaurants request a karaoke host, they would have the option of adding a trivia element, too.

Ron is also looking into more elaborate lighting options for customers looking to create a unique environment at their event. He’ll know more after he checks out the possibilities at the Mobile Beat show in Las Vegas next month.

It’s looking to be a banner year at Cutting Edge Entertainment. Book us for your 2015 event.
